Dry Needling

Dry Needling is a treatment technique that uses thin, solid, filiform needles to treat acute and chronic pain by relaxing the muscle, improving blood flow and improving the brain's ability to control the muscle.

The needles used are quite small and you may not even feel the insertion of the needle.  It is common to experience a cramping sensation during the treatment.

Dry Needling, combined with traditional physical therapy has been show to be useful in treating:

  • Tendonitis

  • Overuse injuries

  • Athletic injuries

  • Post-surgical pain

  • Cervicogenic headaches

  • Chronic pain conditions

  • Back pain

  • TMJ disorder

  • Neck pain

  • Plantar fasciitis
