Dr. Garrett Foland PT, DPT
Garrett was born and raised in Frederick County Maryland where he remembers spending most of his time outdoors playing sports. He developed a love for sports and physical activity at a young age and decided to further pursue this passion. He received a BS in Exercise and Sports Science at Frostburg State University where he trained the triathlon team and managed intramural sports.
After his undergraduate studies, Garrett became a certified personal trainer through NASM and helped his clients achieve their health and fitness goals. Through helping others, he began to truly understand the benefits of becoming more physically active, but wanted to continue on with his education so he could provide care through movement to those who are injured or experiencing pain. He began his doctorate studies of physical therapy in 2014 at Shenandoah University. During his final year of PT school, Garrett and his fiancee, now wife, moved to Charlotte, NC where Garrett would finish his orthopedic-focused internships before graduation.
He utilizes his personal training experience as well as his knowledge of the human body and rehabilitation to help others progress from an injured state to reaching their full potential.
